Alison from Kag & Ali's Mundane Adventures

Alison Oborn

Originally came from the UK, Alison has spent over half her life in Adelaide, South Australia after marrying an Australian. The poor guy has never really understood what hit him.

Alison is also an author and the owner and operator of Adelaide’s Haunted Horizons, a multi award-winning ghost/dark history tour company. She has been a paranormal researcher for over 30 years (yes, she is old). But ghosts aren’t her only passion; she also has a love for the history of buildings and the people that resided in them. Not in a boring way, hell no! But in a dark, intriguing and fascinating way.

She had a passion for travel and a great sense of humour, an ideal mix.

Yes, it’s a strange name and she knows it!

Kag is also originally from the UK and arrived with her husband and 2 grown up sons in Adelaide in 2008. They eventually settled down to the real Ozzie way of life after realising it wasn’t like 'Neighbours'. A very disappointing moment for us all lol. Her hobbies were crafting and watching paranormal TV shows. Now she has no time for crafting and the TV shows are now a thing of the past …. maybe!

Kag also loves to travel and loves a laugh too. A great combination.

How they met: Kag had always loved the paranormal but was also afraid of it too, due to all the things she saw on the TV shows. She was bound to be the unlucky one that gets followed home or possessed! Her major issue was her fear of the dark so, when her husband bought 2 tickets for one of Alison’s Ghost Hunts for her birthday, he wasn’t going to win husband of the year any time soon!

After the first night with Haunted Horizons, Kag and her hubby were hooked and booked on more and more tours. In the words of Alison. ‘Kag hung around like a bad smell, so I hired her!’ That was it, the start of our friendship and the start of our travels, adventures and many, many laughs.

So, together, we travel far and wide and bring to you, whether you want it or not, videos and blogs of our trips and antics.
